I want to express just how wonderful this home and its staff have been
As I come to the end of my two-week stay, I want to express just how wonderful this home and its staff have been. From day one, I’ve been treated with unwavering respect, dignity, and genuine compassion. The carers demonstrate remarkable patience and a true person-centered approach in everything they do. The home’s manager has clearly handpicked an exceptional team, creating a beautiful and safe haven that feels like family.
Every detail of care was tailored to my needs. Handover processes were handled with professionalism and confidentiality, ensuring seamless communication between staff. Even the little things mattered—like when I asked for ice cubes during a heatwave, and a carer went out of her way to make me a frozen drink. Or when I requested ice Lollie's and they happily went out and bought a vast selection.
The male carers were always respectful of my preference for female care, and I always felt safe and supported. I am 36 years old and as former carer myself, with eight years of experience, I know excellent care when I see it—and this team is knowledgeable, confident, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it’s clear that the manager, Nick, fosters a culture of openness with an upstairs office he chooses most days to work from the downstairs office with an open-door policy.
This home is an absolute gem. I settled in quickly, felt truly valued, and I can’t speak highly enough of the whole team.

To all the lovely carers at Mostyn
Just a little note to say my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for the care that you have given Mum over the last year. She loved her room and would often say to me how she 'would love to live here'. When I told her that she did now live here, she would say 'Oh' aren't I lucky!'
Mostyn was absolutely the best place for mum to be in the last year of her life.
